Untill now, HIV and AIDS are still global problem in the world include in Indonesia. In 2001, the Expert of Indonesian Health Epidemiology Departement with consultan of WHO, estimated there were 80.000 – 120.000 people lived with HIV/ AIDS (ODHA) in Indonesia. The number of HIV patient, 79,1 % was men and 20,9 % was women. The patient of HIV usually had a decreased of nutrient state with decreased of weight as a symptomp. That is appropriate with a statement of Dirjen Pemberantasan Penyakit Menular (2003) that decreased of nutrient state can cause decreased of physical examination. It will influence HIV patient’s productivity. The purpose of this research are to learn about nutrient state in HIV patient with oral candidiasis opportunistic in HIV patient and in HIV patient without opportunistic infection. This research uses description method and total sampling as a way to get the sampel from HIV patient in Juny 2009 that get home therapy. In this research, we get 18 persons of HIV patient with opportunistic infection oral candidiasis and 20 persons of HIV patient without opportunistic infection. from both data, we can get the result that not only HIV patient with oral candidiasis infection has a normal value of body mass index than abnormal value but also the HIV patient without opportunistic infection. The conclusion of this research,oral candidiasis is not always influence the nutrient state of HIV patient. It also happen to HIV patient without opportunistic infection. It appeared in result that in both of variabels have normal state as a highest result.
